“consider”不只是“考虑”——一个单词，两种核心用法，一次讲透

很多同学认识consider这个单词，第一反应就是“考虑”。但在真实考试和日常对话中，consider还有一个非常高频的用法：“认为”。如果只记一个“考虑”，很多句子就会完全理解错。这一讲，我们就把consider的两个核心意思彻底分清，顺便搞定它的易混词和固定搭配。

意思1：考虑 —— 后面跟着“要不要做某事”或者“各种选项”。这时候consider = think about carefully，心里在权衡。

• ✦She’s considering moving to Shanghai.（她在考虑搬到上海。）
  注意：动词后面直接跟doing，不是to do。

意思2：认为 —— 后面跟着“是什么样的人/事物”。这时候consider = believe sb/sth to be，表达的是一种观点或判断。

• ✦I consider him a true friend.（我认为他是真正的朋友。）
• ✦They consider the project a great success.（他们认为这个项目非常成功。）

最简单的区分方法：如果句子能换成“think about”，就是“考虑”；如果能换成“believe that”，就是“认为”。

• ✦consider sb/sth (as) sth —— 认为……是……（口语中as可省略）

❌ 常见错误1：consider to do
很多同学受want to do影响，写出consider to do。不对！考虑做某事 = consider doing sth。

❌ 误：I’m considering to buy a new laptop.

❌ 常见错误2：consider + that从句 当“考虑”用
“考虑”后面一般不直接跟that从句。可以说consider whether…，但不直接说consider that…来表示“考虑”。
