当科学家或学者为了找出真相，做实验、查资料、分析数据，也是 investigate。这里它和 research 很像，但 investigate 更强调针对一个具体问题“查清楚”。

小提示：investigate 后面直接加调查的对象，不能说 investigate into something（这是常见错误！），直接说 investigate something 就可以了。

❌ 常见错误1：多用一个介词 into
中文说“调查某件事”，英语直接说 investigate something。很多同学会写成 investigate into the case，这是不对的。只有名词形式 investigation 才搭配 into：the investigation into the case。

近义词辨析：investigate vs. examine vs. explore
- investigate：最强调“找出隐藏的真相”，通常针对问题、犯罪、科学疑问。
- examine：只是仔细“检查”，不一定是找坏人或秘密。医生检查病人、老师检查试卷都用它。
